The sweary trailer gives off strong Wasteland 3 vibes, which is certainly a good thing.
Haemimont Games, the studio behind Tropico, describes Jagged Alliance 3 as having an open RPG structure. The original games were known for being hardcore turn-based tactics titles in the mold of XCOM.
It's changed studios several times since then, finally landing with publisher Nordic Games, which became THQ Nordic. Jagged Alliance 3 was first announced way back in 2004 when Russian studio MiST Land South was supposed to develop the game.
